Information we collect

HiveTalk collects the information you provide, including your email address, display name, profile photo, rooms you create or join, and safety reports you submit.

Microphone and photos

Microphone access is used only when you join and speak in a live audio room. Photo access is used only when you choose a profile image. HiveTalk does not record live room audio.

How we use information

We use your information to provide accounts, profiles, live rooms, moderation, safety features, customer support, and to prevent abuse.

Service providers

HiveTalk uses Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage, and LiveKit to deliver live audio. These providers process information as needed to operate the service.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your display name, profile photo, and participation in public rooms may be visible to other HiveTalk users.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed for safety, security, and legal obligations. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from the Profile tab in the app.

Your choices

You can change or remove your profile photo, leave rooms, block users, and delete your account. You can deny microphone or photo access in iOS Settings, although related features will not work.

Children

HiveTalk is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
